NIGEL Farage has joined GB News on a permanent basis, with his new show, ‘Farage’ set to be broadcast four nights a week.

Farage told his 1.6 million Twitter followers to ‘watch this space’ this afternoon, saying: ‘At 5pm today I will be making an announcement about a big career change.’

It comes after presenter Guto Harri was suspended for taking the knee live on television in a move that angered many viewers.

“On Tuesday a contributing presenter took the knee live on air and this was an unacceptable breach of our standards” GB News said in a statement issued on Twitter. “We let both sides of the argument down by oversimplifying a very complex issue.”

Guto was then suspended, following a widespread boycott that seriously reduced GB News’ viewing figures.

“Start ups are fraught and fractious” Andrew Neil wrote on Twitter yesterday, following multiple members of staff quitting the show. “GB News is no exception. But the news channel is finding its feet and has a great future. Watch this space.”

The tweet was shared by Mr Farage, who has become a semi-regular fixture on the channel.

Now, the passionate Brexiteer has confirmed that he is to become a permanent fixture on GB News.

His show, simply called ‘Farage’, will begin broadcasting for the first time on 7pm Monday 22nd July, and will be aired every week, Monday to Thursday.
