Twitter Pays Thousands of Dollars to ‘Dom Lucre’, a Conspiracy Theorist Who Posted Child Pornography

Elon Musk’s platform reached a new low this week after paying ‘Dom Lucre’, a serial liar and distributor of child pornography, thousands of dollars as part of its ads revenue program.

The revenue sharing program is only available to users who pay for a Twitter Blue subscription and is driven by ads placed in the replies to tweets. So far, payout amounts are ranging from a few thousand dollars to nearly $40,000 for accounts with a few million followers.

Among those receiving cheques have been numerous high profile accounts known to spread demonstrable disinformation, racism and hate – one of them being the latest MAGA messiah Dominick Andrew McGee, who goes by the alias ‘Dom Lucre’.

Dom Lucre daily uses his Twitter account to spread click-bait conspiracy theories, harass innocent people, dox private information, and share low-grade videos containing dangerous defamation and libel. Despite this, his account has attracted over half-a-million followers, mainly from the right-wing and from similar-minded conspiracy theorists such as Republican Marjorie Taylor Green.

Last week, Dom Lucre, who in real life has been accused of running a scam credit advice company and falsely claiming to be a millionaire whilst grifting for donations online, left Twitter users shocked after he posted images of child pornography and torture relating to the case of an Australian man who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2018 for sexually abusing children in the Philippines.

The images, which are illegal to share, depicted children being sexually abused and tortured, and were stills from a video that Lucre is presumed to have watched to obtain the images from, with one of the children reportedly being strangled to death after the filming.

Dom Lucre’s pedophilic post remained on the platform for several days before finally being removed and his account suspended – until Elon Musk intervened.

Despite Musk, the new owner of Twitter, repeatedly claiming in the past that the platform would make cracking down on abusive material as “priority #1,” the billionaire, who himself has a proven track record of supporting conspiracy theorists, quickly bowed to pressure from right-wing accounts and reinstated Lucre’s account within hours.

Shockingly, Musk even publicly acknowledged that Lucre had posted ‘child exploitation pictures’ – but said that he would reinstate Lucre’s account regardless.

“Only people on our CSE team have seen those pictures,” Musk tweeted, referring to the company’s child sexual exploitation staff. “For now, we will delete those posts and reinstate the account.”

In recent weeks, Dom Lucre once again came under fire for exploiting children, this time by posting an historical image of starving half-naked Ukrainian children who were victims of the Russian-led Holodomor genocide and lying to his followers that they were victims of trafficking.

Despite his constant tweeting of fake news, however – and despite being briefly suspended for posting child pornography – today Twitter decided to reward Dom Lucre with thousands of dollars – although the attention-seeking conspiracy theorist brazenly tweeted out that he wanted to be paid even more.

Posting a screenshot proving that Twitter had paid him along $2,500 for this month alone, the grifter wrote: “I get 472 Million impression every 28 days. I was the #1 trending topic on Twitter last month, and an account with 80k followers got paid more than me…I don’t understand why X has treated me as if I’m not valued.”

Dom Lucre’s isn’t the only vile account that Twitter has supported since Elon Musk bought the company last year. So far, numerous extremists, racists, and neo-Nazis have had their accounts reinstated.
